Up for sale is one beautiful 1965 Pontiac GTO with a 389 Tri-Power set-up and a 4 speed Muncie M20 manual transmission. This is a real GTO with full PHS documents (1964 and 1965 GTO was an option and PHS documents are one of the only ways to tell a real GTO). This is also a REAL “Tiger Gold” car which was a special order paint color and very rare. The car is 100% rust and rot free, it still retains its original floors and quarter panels. The trunk pan looks to be original too, it has a couple patches in the trunk but is very nice. The paint work is beautiful and done in its factory color “Tiger Gold”. It does have a chip in the passenger door (very small and touched up, check photos) and there is a light scratch in the hood that is hard to see unless pointed out. Other than that the paint and body is gorgeous. The interior is beautiful and has no issues, very clean and retains a lot of original pieces. All the glass, bright work and stainless is in excellent shape. The motor and tri-power set-up is a WW block out of a 66 GTO and runs excellent, tons of power and no noises. The transmission is a Muncie M20 and shifts beautiful, clutch also feels great. The rear is a limited slip with 4:11 gears. This GTO also has power steering and power disk brakes. This GTO runs and drives EXCELLENT, it goes straight down the road with no pulling or vibrations. The body and paint are excellent, NO rust NO rot NO blisters. Look at the pictures, the under neath and engine bay are super clean. This car is straight as an arrow. The Pontiac 59 Series wheels are brand new along with the Mastercraft Avenger GT white letter tires. The car has been gone through front to back and has a clean bill of health. The only thing that doesn’t work is the vacuum gauge. Everything else works as it should, blinkers, horn, heat and so on.
